Darren Brown Driver Profile

Darren started racing at the very early age of 5 years old. His first gokart was a cage kart built by his father. They took it to the local track and never looked back. Darren started late in the point's season but surprisingly ended up third at the end of the year. It was no surprise when he claimed the Track Champion title that next year. Darren dominated the field wherever he went. So it was decided. He needed a different level of competition so we went in search of the "Big Boys".

Darren started the National Series in 1999 missing the 1st race of the season. But ended with an outstanding 4th place finish. We had found the competition that Darren so much needed to push him to become an even better driver than what he was. The next year was ended with a 2nd and 5th place finish. Darren was quickly learning what it took to win a National title. 2001 brought many family troubles and Darren's racing career was put on the back burner. But in 2002 Darren came out fighting and ended the season with a 3rd and 4th place finish. And the fighting has not stopped to this day. Darren was crowned the 2003 National Champion and started the 2004 season with a "World Championship" win at the Daytona Kart Week festivities.

Although karting was an excellent way to get into racing, Darren is again looking for that next level of competition. The Allison Legacy National Tour will be Darren's next conquest. This is a 3/4 Scale replica of the Nascar Nextel Cup cars. The series has a spec motor which will display more of the driver talents than that of the engine builder. The Allison Legacy Series will be a support race for the Hooters Pro Tour and hopefully will be televised. We are hoping not only to improve Darren's driving ability but to get him in front of the eyes of the Motorsports industry.
